You can relax at the hotel or explore Negombo’s charming attractions. Visit Morawala Beach, a serene spot perfect for a leisurely stroll along the shoreline, and experience the vibrant Negombo Fish Market, where you can observe the daily catch being sold and witness local fishermen at work. Additionally, explore the historic Dutch Fort, a colonial remnant that offers a glimpse into Sri Lanka’s rich history.

Start your day early with a spiritual visit to Abayasekararama Temple, a peaceful Buddhist temple, and then head over to St. Sebastian’s Church, a striking Gothic-style Catholic church. Afterward, embark on a scenic drive to the heart of the island, Kandy, known as the cultural capital of Sri Lanka. In Kandy, you’ll visit the lush Peradeniya Botanical Gardens, home to a wide variety of tropical plants and orchids. Later, enjoy a Kandy city tour, where you can explore local markets, visit handicraft shops, and immerse yourself in the culture of this UNESCO World Heritage Site.

After breakfast, you’ll visit one of Sri Lanka’s most sacred sites, the Temple of the Tooth Relic, which houses a tooth of the Buddha. Following your visit, you’ll depart for Sigiriya, an iconic UNESCO World Heritage Site. Sigiriya is famed for the majestic Lion Rock, a towering rock fortress that offers breathtaking panoramic views from the summit. The climb to the top takes you through the Lion’s Gate, and along the way, you’ll marvel at the ancient frescoes that adorn the cave walls. The summit holds the ruins of ancient royal palaces, surrounded by beautiful water gardens and a rich history that dates back centuries.

In the morning, you’ll visit the Golden Temple of Dambulla, a magnificent rock temple complex adorned with ancient statues and vibrant murals that depict the life of the Buddha. After soaking in the spiritual atmosphere of Dambulla, you’ll proceed to the ancient city of Polonnaruwa. Polonnaruwa was once the thriving capital of Sri Lanka and is home to some of the most well-preserved historical sites on the island. You’ll visit the Buddha Stone Temple, Rankot Stupa, and the King’s Council Hall, all of which offer a glimpse into the grandeur of Sri Lanka’s ancient civilization.

Leave the historical sites behind as you journey to Passikudah Beach, a tropical paradise on Sri Lanka’s east coast. The villagers, mostly farmers and fishermen, cultivate crops such as paddy, maize, and cowpeas. You can engage with the locals, participate in traditional agricultural practices, and even ride small fishing boats on the nearby lakes. Wildlife lovers will be thrilled to see elephants in the wild near Borapola Lake, especially during the morning and evening hours. For a truly authentic experience, you’ll stay overnight in a village house, giving you a deeper insight into local culture and hospitality.

Your next stop is the quiet and scenic Oluvil Beach, located in the Eastern Province of Sri Lanka. This beach is notable for its small harbor and historic lighthouse.
